Definition
Determines which firming logic is used in the REM planning table.
Use
The following logics exist:
- Planned orders are not firmed.
You choose this setting if the planned orders of the production quantities which you have assigned to a production line in the planning table are not to be firmed for MRP. This means that these planned orders can be changed in the next planning run.
- Planned orders are firmed.
You choose this setting if the planned orders of the production quantities which you have assigned to a production line in the planning table are to be firmed for MRP. This means that these planned orders are no longer changed in subsequent planning runs. You can recognize that a planned order is firmed by the firming indicator which is set in the details screen of the planned order.
The system only firms planned orders that lie within the planning time fence.
