Definition
With the options No BOM explosion and Propose components according to BOM, you have three different possibilities of entering excess component consumption or component scrap:
- Without BOM explosion.
- With BOM explosion without specifying a reference quantity.
- With BOM explosion and with specification of a reference quantity.
Use
If you choose the option, No BOM explosion, you can manually enter excess consumption or componenent scrap by choosing Process component list.
If you choose the option, Propose components according to BOM, you can either enter a reference quantity and then, in the component list, you can display the excess consumption/scrap for this reference quantity. Or, you do not enter a reference quantity and then enter the excess concumption/scrap in the empty quantity fields of the component list. The system then adopts the target quantity = 0. Components with empty quantity fields are not posted.
