Documentation
Definition
The Qualifying Week (QW) is the 15th week before the Expected Week of Confinement (Childbirth). The Qualifying Week is relevant for both Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay (birth).
On the basis of the Sunday start date of the Expected Week of Confinement (Childbirth), your SAP system counts back 15 weeks, once again to the Sunday, to establish the Qualifying Week.
OR
Your SAP system automatically determines the QW by calculating back 15 weeks from the Expected Week of Confinement (Childbirth). The QW will begin on the Sunday of this week, and it is the date on this Sunday that is entered in the field Qualif. Week Start.
Use
The Qualifying Week (QW) is the week in which the employee has to satisfy certain conditions to be eligible for Statutory Maternity Pay or Statutory Paternity Pay (birth).
