Definition

Specifies the layout for displaying and grouping data in a tree.

Use

The fields of the layout in the group Grouping Characteristic control the aggregation and grouping of the data.

Example

• If you only select the material and the master inspection characteristic as the grouping characteristic in the layout, all inspection lots for a material are aggregated in one inspection lot node in the tree. In addition, one characteristic node is displayed in the tree for the subordinate characteristic results for each master inspection characteristic name.
• If you select the material, vendor, and master inspection characteristic as the grouping characteristic in the layout, all inspection lots for a material-vendor combination are aggregated in one inspection lot node in the tree. In addition, one characteristic node is displayed in the tree for the subordinate characteristic results for each master inspection characteristic name.

Dependencies

The following function is active if you have set the QGA4 Usability Enhancements indicator for the business process Quality Data Evaluation in Customizing under Quality Management -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Settings at Client Level:

• In the object tree, the columns are marked with an asterisk that were defined as grouping characteristics in the grouping layout.
• Using the Select Data Nodes Used pushbutton, you can visualize at any time the nodes in the tree whose data was used for the display.
• For each display form, for example, tables, you can use the Views (Close Views in Current Overview) pushbutton to close all detail views in one go.
• You can display detail views for quality notifications.
