Definition
When working with multiple specifications, you can determine the suitability of a batch for an object (for example, country or pharmacopoeia) during the quality inspection and record it using a class characteristic.
For this, you can specify class characteristics in the existing Customizing table for object types for multiple specifications. This applies to both a positive and negative valuation.
For each object type, you can enter a characteristic with the valuation suitable for and one characteristic with the valuation not suitable for.
It depends on the type of batch determination planned, whether only a characteristic with a positive valuation is required or if a characteristic with a negative valuation is also required:
- If the search only uses the question "Is the batch suitable for....?", characteristics with a positive valuation are required.
- If batch determination also uses the question "Is the batch not suitable for....?", characteristics with a negative valuation are also required.
The user must define the class characteristics that are to be specified.
Use
In the classification system, define two class characteristics for each object type which should be used to determine the suitability of a batch based on multiple specifications. Since the characteristics are valuated more than once in general, you should set the indicator More than one value.
Enter these characteristics for the object type in the Customizing table for object types.
Example
If you use the object type Country, you should define two class characteristics QMS_COUNTRY_OK = suitable for country and QMS_COUNTRY_NOK = not suitable for country.
Dependencies
When the usage decision is made, the system determines the suitability of a batch for an object in the multiple specification.
A default value is automatically determined for each object using the standard values for the multiple specifications. The user can copy or change this default value.
When the usage decision is saved, the value of the field specified in Field Name for Classification is transferred to a class characteristic for the batch class.
The characteristic is determined using the object type for the object of the multiple specification and Customizing tables. Depending on the value for suitability, the characteristic is valuated with a positive valuation (suitable for) or a negative valuation (not suitable for).
The prerequisite is that the corresponding class characteristic is assigned to the batch class that is used.
