Definition

Uniquely identifies an action point.

Use

You can use an action point as a reporting point for production backflushes in the SAP APO, or as a tracking point for the Action Handler in the SAP APO.

You can create action points at the beginning and at the end of a production line or line segment.

You can define an action point at the mode of an activity for routing.

You can then backflush at these reporting points. The type of reporting point determines whether

  • The capacities are deducted from the resources at the reporting point (only possible on production lines, as the resources are assigned to the production lines).
  • The components are withdrawn retrogradely at the reporting point.
  • The goods receipt for the finished product is posted at the reporting point (this only makes sense at the end of the production line, as no more backflushes can be entered after a goods receipt. You can post goods receipts at reporting points of this type only).
