Unit of measure for sizes 1 to 3.
Procedure
Note when you are entering:
When you do not enter a size, the system proposes the unit of measure that is defined as the default value in the control data in Customizing for bills of material.
Dependencies
There is a dependency between the size unit and the unit of measure for the variable-size item.
Example:
Variable-size item data of a sheet

Unit of the sizes: MM
When no formula is entered, the system calculates the quantity of the variable-size item using the standard formula: Size 1 * Size 2 (Result --> Area)
= 200 MM * 300 MM
= 60,000 MM2
The unit of measure for the variable-size item must have the area dimension (MM2, CM2, M2, and so on) or conversion factors must be maintained in the material master record.
