Definition
You use this indicator to specify that if the status is changed in the recipe, the system not only checks the status of the changed change state but also preceding or subsequent change states. This setting applies to all status changes that influence whether recipe data can be changed or not (see Status Network for Recipes). It ensures that the processing sequence defined in the status network is complied with across all change states. This means:
- You can only assign the status Processing closed, which means that changes are prohibited, to a change state if none of the preceding change states has the status In process or Rejected and thus allows changes.
- You can only assign the status Rejected to a change state that has status Processing closed if all subsequent change states also have the status In process and Rejected.
- You can only create a new change state (initial status In process) if all subsequent change states have status In process or Rejected.
- You can only release a change state if none of the preceding change states has the status In process or Rejected.
- You can only assign the status Application scope restricted to a change state if none of the preceding change states has the status In process or Rejected.
If you do not set this indicator, the system only checks the change state whose status you want to change.
Use
Dependencies
This setting only takes effect if you also activate status management for the recipe type (see the Status mgmt active indicator).
To specify that it also applies to the formulas of your recipes, we recommend activating the usage of recipe-dependent formulas too (see the Formula field).
