Documentation
Definition
Controls how the system reacts when only copies of the iPPE objects are edited, as opposed to the originals, and the originals are stored in a different system.
Use
The setting you make here determines how the system reacts if the copies are edited.
You can define whether the system outputs
- No information when copies are edited in the iPPE Workbench.
- Information when copies are edited in the iPPE Workbench.
- A warning message when copies are edited in the iPPE Workbench.
- An error message, and locks the copies so that they cannot be edited in the iPPE Workbench.
Dependencies
The system assigns a key when you create a new iPPE object. The key indicates the system in which the original of the object is stored. When the objects are copied into a different system, such as to a different SAP system using Application Link Enabling (ALE) or to the SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) using the CIF, the originals remain in the source system. To ensure uniformity in your data, you should make changes to originals only.
