Documentation
Definition
Function module that uses your ALE distribution model to determine the system in which a particular production version is stored.
Use
This setting applies to the recipe types to which a production version can be assigned. This includes the recipe type master recipe as well as all customer-defined copies of this recipe type.
You need to make this setting if you use distributed systems in your enterprise. In this case, your recipes and their production versions may be stored in different systems. When you display or assign a production version in a recipe, a remote function call (RFC) must then be made to access the production version. Recipe management needs a function module that determines the logical address (RFC destination) of the relevant target system.
Dependencies
The function you assign here must be defined and activated in the Function Library of the SAP System (see IMG activity Set Up Link to Distributed Production Versions).
