Documentation
Definition
Specifies that a component variant is linked to a color scheme.
Use
You can enter the material number of a color-neutral part at a component variant. In the detail screen of the component variant, you can also reference a color scheme at which the color variants are entered. These color variants contain a color code which the system uses to supplement or overwrite the material number of the color-neutral material number at the explosion. The result is the material number of the colored material.
Example 1
In the following example, the material number of the color-neutral and the colored part is 10 digits. The color code is 3 digits and is inserted at the fifth digit in the material number. The system overwrites three digits of the material number of the color-neutral part with the color code.
Material no. color-neutral part Color code Material no. colored part
1111111111 222 (red) 1111222111
1111111111 333 (green) 1111333111
1111111111 444 (blue) 1111444111
1111111111 555 (yellow) 1111555111
Example 2
In this example, the material number of the color-neutral and colored part is also 10 digits and the color code 3 digits. From the 8th digit, 3 digits are reserved for the color code so that the color code can be supplemented at the explosion.
