Definition
Groups together variants from the PVS that belong together and can be used as alternatives to each other. Controls that the system does not interpret overlappings in object dependencies as errors, but puts them in a separate catalog.
Example
For the structure node that represents the horn component, there are two variants, and assigned materials. It does not matter which of these materials is installed. You can set the same indicator for both variants so that it is recorded in the system that either of the variants can be used.
