Definition

The edition is the smallest saleable unit of a publication. It represents a variant of a publication with regard to the following factors:

  • Regional features (e.g. "Greater Anytown" edition of the Anytown News)
  • Content-related features (e.g. Saturday edition)
  • Layout-related features (special format)

Note

The key of the edition is combined with the publication key to identify the edition uniquely.

Specify the edition (together with the publication) for which the shipping document type is to be created. If the shipping document is to be created for all edition types, you should not make any entries in this field.
