According to EU COUNCIL DIRECTIVE 2008/9/EC of 12 February 2008 that stipulates detailed rules for the refund of value added tax, Article 9, paragraph 2, the Member States of refund may require the applicant to provide this additional information with regard to each code. The subcodes are used for this additional classification.
