Definition
The item category describes the central control attributes of an order item or billing dataset.
Use
You can use control attributes to determine the extent to which an item/billing dataset is relevant to billing, contract, commission, or production and which determination procedures should be used for output and partner assignment etc.
The item category is selected when the item is created and is later updated in the billing dataset generated. This does not apply to billing datasets which are created due to separate agency commission and have the item category for separate agency commission.
