Definition
The percentage to be applied to the base amount for the calculation category. The system applies the percentage during execution of PSC calculations assigned to the scheme.
(Note that for certain calculation categories-- Profit Including Excess, Profit Excluding Excess, Excess Profit/Carry Forward, Adjustments, and Production Adjustments-- it is not possible to enter a rate.)
During calculation processing, fractions of the base amount are calculated using the percentages entered in the Rate field. Progress from one rung to another of the calculation ladder with a consequent change in percentages is triggered by the production volume thresholds specified in the Qty From field of the screen.
