Supplementary Documentation - PS_SPDID 0020
Use
Enter either a start of finish value for the search area, in which the next free standard project number is to be determined.
Notes
Normally you enter either a start value or a finish value in the search area:
- If you enter a start value, the system determines the finish value by replacing the numbers in the start value with the digit 9.
- If you enter a finish value, the system determines the start value by replacing the numbers in the finish value with the digit 0.
For example, if you are using the coding mask A/XXX-000 and you enter the start value AENG200, the system searches from A/ENG-200 to A/ENG-999.
You can also enter the complete search area by entering a start and a finish value. In this case, the non-numeric parts must agree and both values must have the same number of characters.
