Definition

Stipulates from where the data for a new project should be taken when you create a project with a template. If you activate the indicator, the data is transferred from the template project. If you deactivate the indicator, the data is transferred from the profile in the template project.

Use

If you create a project with a template, the following scenarios are possible. The following explains the system behavior if you deactivate the checkbox:

  • You enter a project as a template and leave the project profile set at initial.
    The system transfers data from the project that serves as a template.
  • You enter a project with the profile PF00001 as a template, and enter PF00001 as the profile for the new project.
    The system transfers the data from the project that serves as a template.
  • You enter a project with the profile PF00001 as a template and enter a different profile (for example, PF00002) for the new project.
    A dialog box asks you whether the system should transfer data from the profile PF00002 or from the template project.

If you activate the checkbox, the following scenarios are possible:

  • You enter a project as a template and leave the project profile set at initial.
    The system transfers data from the project profile of the template project.
  • You enter a project with the profile PF00001 as a template and enter the profile PF00001 for the new project.
    Data is transferred from the project profile (PF00001) of the template project.
  • You enter a project with the profile PF00001 as a template and specify a different profile (for example, PF00002) for the new project.
    A dialog box asks you if you want to transfer data from the profile PF00002 or from the profile PF00001 .
