Definition

Specifies whether the proxy server is to be used for all local (intranet) addresses. Because a proxy server acts as a security barrier between the internal network (intranet) and the Internet, special authorization may be required from the system administrator to access web pages using a proxy server. Access to local addresses can be easier and faster if the proxy server is not used.

Note:

  • Local servers include servers whose host names do not contain a domain, for example PC01 instead of PC01.sap.com.
