Documentation
Definition
Key which determines how the check is to be carried out.
Predefined checks are started using keys 1 to 8. The system checks for numerical entry, length of entry and spaces in the entry.
Using key 9, you can activate a special country-specific check. The entry is checked against a template defined in the program.
You can insert further checks in the relevant function modules. Contact your SAP consultant for further information.
Note
No country-specific templates currently exist, that is you may not enter key 9.
Example
With the check rule you can determine, for example, whether the length is to be adhered to exactly or whether it is a maximum length. You can also determine, for example, whether only numeric or also alphanumeric characters are allowed.
