Documentation

Definition

The documentation types categorize project documentation.

Use

Documentation types are either project-specific or cross-project.

Dependencies

You flag cross-project documentation types as global. If this attribute is set, you can edit and display documents of this type anywhere (for example in all customizing projects).

Global document types no longer have to be assigned explicitly to a project. Non-global document types must be assigned to the project or projects in which they are to be used, in the customizing project management. One documentation type can be assigned to one or more projects.
