Definition
The production unit variant type (also referred to as PU variant type in the following) describes the content of booking units for ads, i.e the assignment of content components. This can differ from the categorization of issues using issue variant types.
Use
If you want to stipulate that the same columns and sections are to be published in certain issues (more precisely: issues with certain issue variant types), you can assign production units to a certain PU variant type. You can then assign content components according to this PU variant type which in turn facilitates maintenance.
