Definition
Determines the value of the goods when crossing a border during import/export.
Use
Within the European Union (EU) each exported or imported item needs a statistical value, if you make a monthly Intrastat declaration. Intrastat creates foreign trade statistics based on this information. The system determines statistical values on the basis of condition records with condition type GRWR. The condition records are created within a sales area according the the relevant Incoterms.
Example
You export an order to a customer in another EU member-state. You take on the transportation and insurance costs. In this case, the statistical value must represent the deduction of the transportation and insurance costs from border crossing to arriving with the customer. The statistical value in the order is specified as a percentage (e.g. 70%) of the billed amount before value added tax (VAT). The difference (in this case 30%) represents the estimated transportation and sales costs from the border crossing to the customer.
Procedure
The system determines the statistical value automatically in the billing document.
You can change the value manually in the invoice.
