Definition
The system checks whether an invoice or a credit memo has already been posted. Criteria could include: Same amount, same reference number, same company code, and so on.
The interface is intended as a process interface. This means that a standard process (in this case duplicate invoice check) can be switched off by an additional module. In its place, the module defines a separate logic when a warning or error message has to be sent because of possible duplicate postings.
