Definition

Allows you to look up objects by naming part, or all, of an object abbreviation or description.

The system searches the data base and lists all objects that match the text you enter. You then select an object from the list.

You can further confine the list the system produces by naming other criteria objects must meet. For example, objects must have a specific status, or validity period.

Use

To use the search function:

  1. Select the radio button and Select Continue.
    A dialog box appears.
  2. Enter as much of the object abbreviation or description as you know.
  3. If you wish to add other restrictions, select With Restriction.
    A dialog box appears. (If you do not wish to add restrictions, skip to
    step #6.)
  4. Select a restriction.
    A second dialog box appears.
  5. Select specific criteria, and select Choose.
  6. Select Continue.
    The system lists all objects that match your entry.
  7. Select the appropriate object and Continue.
