Definition
Allows you to search for and find objects, when you have incomplete information. You can locate objects by entering part, or all, of an object:
- abbreviation
- name
- name and abbreviation
The system searches the database and lists all objects that match the text you enter. You select an object from the list.
Use
To use the Matchcode feature:
- Select the radio button and select Continue.
A dialog box appears. - Select the matchcode method you want to use, and select Continue.
A dialog box appears (which one appears depends your selection). - Complete the fields, and select Continue.
The system lists all objects that match your entry. - Select the appropriate item and select Continue.
