Definition

Specifies whether a material is displayed in the Apps for Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

Use

When accessing the Apps for MRP for the first time, the system automatically performs a check to determine whether a material can be displayed in the App.
The following entries exist:

  • Initial - Material has not yet been checked
  • G - The automatic check has determined that this material is displayed in the MRP Apps
  • B - The automatic check has determined that this material is not displayed in the MRP Apps
  • Y - User override: Material is to be displayed in MRP Apps
  • N - User override: Material is not to be displayed in MRP Apps

From a technical point of view, all materials can be displayed in the Apps and, if necessary, you can use the settings Y and N to overrule the automatic system setting.

The system sets the entry B for materials that require features that are not supported by the Apps for MRP. Such features include:

  • Total requirements
  • Distribution key specified by production version
  • Distribution key specified by component demand
  • Incompatible forecast demand
  • Outdated subcontracting logic
  • Subdaily safety time
