Definition

Use

The recipient type classifies the recipient address entered and influences the communication type used for transmission:

  • Internet addresses, for example peter.brown@company.com
  • Private or shared distribution lists from the Business Workplace

    Note here that the recipients in the distribution list correspond to the processing medium (therefore when using e-mail, only internal users or Internet users, when using the medium fax, only fax recipient).

  • SAP user names of internal users
  • Organizational units or positions from the organization management

Dependencies

The recipient is only then of significance if you specify a recipient address.
