Documentation
Definition
The synchronization reporting point is a reporting point that is near the point where components are assembled.
- Orders pass through this reporting point in the same sequence as they pass through the assembly location.
- The synchronization reporting point is synchronized with the assembly location; there is always a fixed number of takts between the synchronization reporting point and the assembly location.
The synchronization reporting point is determined automatically in line design for a factory layout node, and used for the components that are assembled there. It is always, including within line networks, on the same line as the assembly location.
Unlike the serialization reporting point, the synchronization reporting point can be after the assembly location.
Use
The synchronization reporting point is used together with the serialization reporting point. They make it possible to determine the exact location, based on reporting point backflushes, of orders on takt-based production lines.
