Documentation
Definition
Specifies how many production resources you have assigned to a line element.
Use
Using the production resource assignment to a line element in a line balance, you can map the available capacity of a line element. You calculate the available capacity of a line element with the following formula:
Available capacity of a line element = takt time x number of assigned production resources
You can increase the available capacity of a line element by increasing the number of assigned production resources.
Example
The takt time in line segment 1 is 1 min. You have already assigned a production resource. The average work content of the assigned activities is 5 min. In order to execute the assigned activities, you need to increase the number of production resources (for example, workers) to 5.
