Documentation
Definition
Specifies the number of time units in which a predefined quantity of products is to be produced.
Use
By specifying the number of time units, you have the opportunity to limit the quantity of products to be produced to 2 hours, for example.
Using the quyntity of products, and the predefined time, the system calculates the takt time, which forms the basis of the line balance.
Dependencies
As you cannot create line resources in the DI system, and therefore cannot define any rates for them, you must define a rate/takt time for each line balance. When iPPE data is transferred into the APO, a line resource is generated automatically for each production line. When you maintain the line resource in the APO, you must ensure that you define the same rate/takt time for the line resource as that which you have specified for the valid line balance.
