Definition
Specifies the quantity of products that can be produced in the predefined time.
Use
The system uses the predefined quantity of products per time unit to calculate the takt time. The takt time forms the basis for the line balance. For example, a quantity of 10 pieces per hour gives a takt time of 6 minutes.
Dependencies
As you cannot create line resources in the DI system, and therefore cannot define any rates for them, you must define a rate/takt time for each line balance. When iPPE data is transferred into the APO, a line resource is generated automatically for each production line. When you maintain the line resource in the APO, you must ensure that you define the same rate/takt time for the line resource as that which you have specified for the valid line balance.
