Use
If you use pricing and payment events (PPE) as price triggers or as a basis for payment due dates, the business logic that has been implemented first checks whether an actual date has been provided. If the actual date is still initial, the system uses the planned date.

Example
When capturing information on goods movements, you typically enter an 'actual' date for events such as bill of lading or date of arrival.
