Definition
There are two types of variance to be posted:
- The first is the change to target quantities during the creation of the backflush. The variances refer to the order for the backflush.
- The second type is the entering of variances without order reference.
Example: The excess consumption is entered in the system at the end of the shift. An assignment to a particular order is not possible. As the posting must always refer to an order, the system creates a phantom assembly for each production version of a material. The variances are assigned to this phantom assembly. If this indicator is set, variances without order reference are being posted.
