Definition

Each backflush consists of three subprocesses:

  • Timely ("synchronous") posting of material movements
  • Deferred, aggregated ("asynchronous") posting of material movements
  • Deferred, aggregated ("asynchronous") posting of production activities

The asynchronous processes are triggered by the function Processing the Backflushes. The system posts the asynchronous components in aggregated form here.

The indicator has three characteristic values:

  • blank: the asynchronous material movement must still be posted.
  • V: the backflush has no material movements to be posted asynchronously.
  • X: the material movements have been posted.

The indicator for asynchronous posting is set only once the material movements are complete. The worklist for the function Processing the Backflushes displays the backflushes still to be posted. If the indicator is not set after the processing , you can see where the error occurred in the Application Log (object PPCONF). Check whether the corresponding backflush matches the selectioncriteria from the PPCGO.
