Example

In system S1, you configure the Purchase Order Processing process.

In system S2, you configure the following sequence of activities for the Sales Order Processing process:

1. Create Inquiry
2. Create Quotation
3. Create Sales Order
4. Create Outbound Delivery

The following Relationship of Activities settings exist in system S2 for the Create Sales Order activity:

• Create Quotation is the Predecessor activity
• Create Outbound Delivery is the Successor activity

The following Relationship of Activities settings exist:

• S1 and S2 are part of the federation scenario, the Release Purchase Order activity in S1 triggers the Create Sales Order activity in S2.
• Create Sales Order is the Outbound activity for the Release Purchase Order in system S1.
