Definition

The hierarchy profile defines the possible hierarchy levels beneath the question list header and their order. The definition of the hierarchy profile and its hierarchy levels is performed in Customizing.

Use

You must specify a hierarchy profile when creating a question list or audit question list. If you want to create an additional hierarchy level in the question list or audit question list, you will be proposed the choice of the possible hierarchy levels that were defined in Customizing.

Dependencies

If additional hierarchy levels already exist beneath the question list header, you can no longer change the hierarchy profile in the question list header/audit question list.

Example

You want to stipulate that questions are to be grouped under elements in a question list.

For this purpose you create a hierarchy profile with the descripton "Element-Question" in Customizing. In this hierarchy profile:

  • You define whether questions can be assigned to any other hierarchy level.
  • You create a hierarchy level with the description "Element" and one with the description "Question". Using the order of the hierarchy levels, you define which hierarchy levels are superordinate or subordinate.
  • You define whether or not a valuation can be performed for each hierarchy level.
