Definition

Term, under which several fields for a Business Package (Portal) from the area mySAP Product Lifecycle Management are grouped together.

Use

If you are displaying a large quantity of data in the Business Package you can present these data fields more transparently by grouping them.
The group description is used simultaneously as the title of a tab on the WEB-Frontend.

Dependencies

The field selection takes place with reference to the function with which you are processing a certain object (for example, material, document).

Example

In the Business Package for products, a material is displayed (Function MAT_REQ). The data should be distributed on two registers (Basic Data, Plant Data). To do this, you create two groups, for whom you select special data fields:

• Group Basic Data with the following fields:
• Material Short Text
• Volumes
• Unit of Weight
• Group Plant Data with the following fields:
• Plant
• Unit of Issue
• Purchasing Group
