For a load carrier item, the quantity always equals one, as each HU only has one load carrier item.

Examples

If a pallet contains two pieces of a material, the material quantity per handling unit is two.

Note

You can use this field for quick manual creation of an HU proposal. To do this, enter the quantity per handling unit in this field, then the material number of a packaging material or packed goods item in the Material number field.

If you enter the data in order of load carrier, packaging material, packed goods, the system automatically compiles the packing hierarchy.
