Alphanumeric key, which clearly identifies the production lot of an assembly.
Use
You can create a separate BOM and a separate routing for this production lot.
Using this number, you plan and produce the production lot of an assembly and you can calculate the planned and actual costs of the assembly production.
If the manufacturing process of an assembly changes, you create a new production lot number and carry out planning and production with the new number, as well as planned and actual cost determination. This allows you to determine the costs of different manufacturing processes separately and then compare them.
