Definition

Key for the packing instruction.

Use

Packing instructions serve as templates for the creation of handling units. A packing instruction defines:

  • which materials are packed and in what quantity
  • the method of packing and the packaging materials used

There are two types of packing instructions: single-level, which describe just one packing level, and multi-level, which describe the packing of overlapping handling units. These multi-level packing instructions therefore contain subordinate packing instructions.

Use

When the HU template is created through the automatic explosion of the packing instruction, then this field contains the identification of the packing instruction.

When overwriting the packing instruction to an existing HU template, the packing instruction is not exploded again.

In order to manually pack in accordance with a known packing instruction, enter the packing instruction identification number and the amount of HUs. The field Material number must be empty.
