Definition

Specifies the gross packing quantity for a delivery or schedule line, in sales unit of measure.

The gross packing quantity for a schedule line is calculated as follows:

Gross packing quantity = open quantity of current schedule line + quantity still to be packed of all open deliveries for the order item

The gross packing quantity for a delivery is equal to the unpacked quantity for the delivery item:

Gross packing quantity = delivery quantity - packed quantity (quantities in the handling units that are contained in the delivery).
