Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether quantities are packed all at once or one handling unit at a time.
Procedure
If you choose strategy 1, Pack all (unlimited number of HUs), the system attempts to pack the full quantity using the appropriate packing instruction(s). The number of handling units created is not restricted.
If you choose strategy 2, Pack HUs one at a time, the expansion process ends as soon as a single HU proposal is created. A single HU proposal implies an HU proposal with a quantity of 1 at the highest packing level. The remaining quantity remains unpacked. When one HU has been created, another HU can be proposed. The HUs are created on this basis, one after the other.
Examples
Dependencies
The strategy Pack HUs one at a time is particularly useful when used in combination with the parameter Start packing instruction expansion automatically. The system then automatically creates a proposal for a new HU as soon as the preceding one is saved, so that the user does not have to choose the Expand packing instruction pushbutton every time.
