Definition

Definition of field operations in a pivot table.

A pivot table is an interactive table which you can use to summarize and analyze data with different formats and calculation methods.

If you have chosen the 'data' option for a field name, you can use the following operations:

  • Number

    The number of entries is taken into account.

  • Mean value

    The mean value of data fields is calculated.

  • Total

    The selected data fields are totalled.

  • Product

    The selected data fields are multiplied with one another.

  • Maximun

    The maximum value of data fields is calculated.

  • Minimum

    The minimum value of data fields is calculated.
