Definition
The average planned/actual lead time variance is calculated as follows:
average planned/actual lead time variance =
average planned/actual lead time variance - average actual lead time variance
The lead time of the order begins with the start date and ends with the delivery date. For calculation purposes only the plant calendar days are considered.
The planned lead time is the difference between the basic dates of start and finish; start and delivery dates are also included.
A lead time variance with a negative sign shows that the actual process of the production order lasted longer than was shown in the plan. A positive sign shows that the actual lead time was shorter than the planned lead time.
Use
In the standard of the Shop Floor Information System this key figure is determined by executing the production order and material analysis and is then updated in the information structures S021 and S023.
