Documentation
Definition
Describes the possible replacements. Two replacement types can describe the materials of a supersession chain: Forwards and Interchangeable.
Use
For each replacement part of the supersession chain enter the replacement type.
Dependencies
In the IM-MPN all materials within a FFF-class can be interchanged amongst each other. This means that if an FFF-class contains the parts A, B and C, all parts can be interchanged. A replacement part in Supersession can only be replaced in a forward direction, that is it can only be replaced by another if the old part has become invalid.
Example
B and C, on the other hand, are fully interchangeable and C is assigned creation type Interchangeable. This means that if you order B, you receive B or C and if you order C, you either receive B or C or a subsequent material interchangeable with B or C.
