Use
If this flag is switched on, the functional locations are deactivated in the background during handover (system status 'INAC').
You can carry out and reverse a deactivation at any time. Generally, when a functional location is deactivated, maintenance of the master record itself is still possible, however, no new transaction data can be entered for the master record.
This means, for example, that no new notifications or orders can be entered for a functional location, and that no new functional locations can be allocated to a reference functional location. Transaction data that already exists for technical objects can, however, still be processed and closed.
For more information, see the SAP Library under SAP ERP Central Component -> Logistics -> Plant Maintenance -> Equipment and Technical Objects (PM-EQM) -> Technical Objects (CS-BD/PM-EQM) -> Functional Locations (CS-BD/PM-EQM-FL) -> Activating/Deactivating Functional Locations.
