Definition
If you want to archive or delete an object (for example, an order, a project), you usually have to complete three steps:
- Set the deletion flag (reversible)
- Set the final deletion indicator (irreversible)
- Reorganize data (remove from sequential stock and delete from the system)
The residence time of 1 indicates the time span, in calendar months, that there should be between setting the deletion flag (step 1) and setting the final deletion flag (step 2).
Use
Set the length of residence time 1 to a value with which you can be sure that you will no longer require orders that have not been used in the residence time.
