Documentation
Definition
In an Entry profile, you specify what selection criteria the system uses to select employees from the organizational units. Selection takes place according to the Evaluation path assigned to the entry profile. An evaluation path describes the structure through which organization units and links to organizational units are searched to find the desired employees.
In addition, you can also select a Requirements source for the organizational unit specified in the evaluation path. The employees linked to the requirements source (a work center, for example) are then included in the selection of employees for assigning shifts.
Use
You use the entry profile to specify the following data:
- Selection criteria is used to select employees
- Which employees selected by the evaluation path are not required for planning shifts.
- Which employees not selected by the evaluation path are, however, required for planning shifts.
Procedure
Enter a profile that has an evaluation path for the system to use for selecting employees.
Examples
Dependencies
The entry profile directly influences the quality of a shift plan because the profile determines which employees are selected and which are availabe for shift planning.
To enter shift planning, set the entry profile and the entry object type.
By entering object types, you determine the organizational units, teams and other groupings of employees from which the employees are selected for shift planning.
By entering profiles, you determine which evaluation paths from the entry object types are used to select employees.
During shift planning, employees are selected from the entry object types by the system according to the evaluation path assigned to the entry profiles.
