Example

If an employee switches to another Public Sector employer, a deferment is carried out in accordance with sec. 184 para. 2 SGB VI.

If the employee is still in the same pension scheme after this move, an informal deferment is carried out. An example of this would be a change from the German Armed Forces to the German Border Police. This deferment type is specific to federal authorities.
